My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that every student’s voice is valuable and that learning is most impactful when it is shared, applied, and reflective of our diverse world. I used this approach when teaching MKTG 2110 (Consumer Behavior) and MKTG 2120 (Data and Analysis for Marketing Decisions) and won several teaching awards, including:
Content Includes: judgment heuristics, context effects, memory, exposure, and customer satisfaction
Content includes: hypotheses testing, regression analysis, pricing analysis, conjoint, customer lifetime value, factor analysis, and predictive analytics

Prof. De La Rosa was the best professor I have had during my time at Penn. From day one, she ensured active class participation and engagement, and delivered on this with interesting and stimulating lectures. She actively sought feedback throughout the semester and was more transparent in her grading practices than any other professor I have had at Penn. She invited students to lunch and it was clear her interest in both the course material and the students she was teaching! I would highly recommend that teaching practices like those used by Prof. De La Rosa are institutionalized and used throughout the University to improve other classes.
This has been one of my favorite classes at penn. Amazing professor
Professor De La Rosa is wonderful; she is a very astute researcher and an even better teacher. I have loved being part of our class this semester and really appreciate everything Professor De La Rosa and Julia did to enhance our learning environment!
This was an amazing course professor De La Rosa is so knowledgeable and helpful!! It was so valuable to learn from someone so accomplished and who can communicate the material so well!!
Such a great course to take. So interesting and professor was amazing
This was an amazing course
I really appreciated the instructor's approach regarding the importance of fairness. The professor always created a very welcoming environment.
I really enjoyed this course. In fact, the most enjoyed course this semester.
Such such a fantastic class. Can't say enough good things about it. Prof was FANTASTIC and loved the environment she built in the class. I felt like I learned a lot.
The professor really goes out of her way to make the course fair. She s a great professor that tries to always stimulate our interest.
I loved this class. This might be one of my favorite classes I have taken at Penn. I also loved Professor De La Rosa and our TA Rob. Overall, I have nothing negative to say. Both Professor De La Rosa and Rob created such an amazing learning and collaborative environment in the classroom. I looked forward to this class every Monday and Wednesday.
Great course, professor De La Rosa makes the subject very interesting and constantly links it to real-life cases in order to prepare us for real life.
Prof. De La Rosa was a fantastic instructor. Her greatest strength is captivating student interest. Incredibly supportive and energetic. I'd say it was the best class I took this semester. Rob is great as well. Literally my only complaint is that sometimes she'd click through slides too quickly. I was also especially impressed since this was her first semester teaching at Wharton.
Best teacher at wharton
My favorite professor and favorite class ever taken
Professor De La Rosa was an outstanding professor. In her first year teaching, she was able to teach the material very well. I was engaged every class and I was very interested in what I was learning. I was easily able to understand what she was explaining because of her teaching style and explanations. She s a pro.
Wendy is such an inspiring professor. Not only did I learn so much about marketing, but I also took away precious life lessons from her. Her energy and enthusiasm and respect make her undeniably one of my favorite professors at Penn.
I loved the class. It is a very interesting class. Our teacher made sure that the concepts we learned in consumer behavior would be applicable to what we are gonna do later. Our professor cared a lot about putting in practice what we learned and helped us understand what we wanted to do later with the guest speakers. I particualrly loved the final project, which really helped me understand how everything we learned was extremely useful to solve marketing/ consulting cases.
... and my personal favorite comment of all time ...
"Perhaps a bit too much emphasis on fairness."
